The Department of Health requires a pick-up every 30 days from a licensed medical waste provider.
Can I dispose of non-hazardous medications in the biohazard box?
Medications must be disposed of separately in a properly labeled container.
As a business, can I use the Fire Department to dispose of my sharps containers?
No. As a business, you may not use the Fire Department to dispose of your waste or to receive new containers. The Fire Department offers sharps containers to Lee County Residents at no charge, not businesses.
